The past year has been more difficult than many of us have
experienced in our lifetime. No one has been left untouched by the
country’s economic recession. Lost jobs. Lost homes. Lost savings. Not
surprisingly, over 554,000 people in Massachusetts are struggling to
put food on the table, and the number continues to climb.
In this report, we recognize that the scope of the problem has
changed. We will present the case for shaping our hunger solutions with
a view that keeps the individual in mind, while also seeks to touch
entire populations of food-insecure people. This is a time for a smart
and strategic investment in solutions that work.
