our approach

Solutions that make ends meet

We go beyond giving out meals. Solving hunger requires addressing the problems at its core —affordability and access. We connect people and communities to big-impact federal nutrition programs and advocate for equitable policies. Our work boosts household food budgets today and informs enduring change for increased food security for all.

Our Policy Priorities

Advocating for policies with impact

No one in Massachusetts should be going hungry. There's enough food available to feed everyone in the Commonwealth, but the high cost of living and wages that haven’t kept up prevent households from affording basic necessities.

Project Bread works with legislators to craft policy solutions to strengthen critical nutrition programs while engaging our partners to address the underlying factors contributing to hunger. Our advocacy is driven by the real-time challenges of people experiencing food insecurity, so we can permanently break the cycle of hunger.
