Warm weather and sunshine are on the rise and that can only mean one thing - Summer Eats is fast approaching! Come join Project Bread Chefs Sam and Vanessa as they cover some new, fun and easy recipes to keep the kids coming back for more. From wraps to dips, this class will focus on fresh, packable meal options to suit your Summer Eats needs and include a presentation from the Child Nutrition Outreach Program about best practices for promoting your Summer Eats programming.

This training is intended for school food service professionals, including school nutrition directors, cafeteria managers, head cooks, prep cooks, and anyone wanting to learn more about easy, packageable summer meal options.

This training meets the following Professional Standards Learning Objectives:

  • 2130 (develop culinary skills necessary for school meal preparation, 60 min.)
  • 4120 (promote the child nutrition program, 30 min.)
