Feeding kids while school is out
When school lets out for summer, kids lose access to a critical source of their daily nutrition — school breakfast and lunch. To fill the gap, Project Bread and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education work to ensure students in Massachusetts can continue to access healthy meals. The Summer Food Service Program, Summer Eats, allows kids experiencing food insecurity to have a nutritional safety net for summer.

Donate“We’re grateful our kids receive free school lunch, but during the summer, providing an extra meal a day for each of my kids can add up quickly! My family has really been helped by having Summer Eats in our town.”
