Free meals are available for all kids & teens, ages 0-18, at hundreds of locations throughout Massachusetts. In the summer months, these meals are provided through the program known as Summer Eats. There is no sign up. No identification required to pick-up meals. Meals will be available through September 2021.
These meals are federally-reimbursed but the programs are administered at the community-level by sites and sponsors with the support of Project Bread and the MA Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).
This program is underutilized, and it's largely because families don't know about it — you can help a lot by spreading the word!
Use these resource to promote Summer Eats, we have resources the general public can use and share as well as resources and materials for Summer Eats sites and sponsors to promote their own sites.
You can help families find where free meals for kids are being served across Massachusetts by sharing the Meal Finder Map at the link below.
