North African Spice Blend

This is an aromatic taste blend worthy of making. It has common warm spices of cinnamon and cumin with the addition of smoked paprika for a little heat. Sprinkle this over chicken as a rub, dust over roasted carrots or sturdy vegetables or try your hand in adding a little to making a balsamic vinaigrette.

YIELD: 1 1/4 cups, 60 servings, 1 tsp portions

Ingredients

¼ cup allspice

2 Tbsp smoked paprika

¼ cup garlic powder

¼ cup ground coriander

¼ cup cinnamon

¼ cup cumin

2 Tbsp kosher salt

Directions

  1. Combine the ingredients until well mixed. Store in an air-tight container at room temperature and away from direct light.
