SNAP Enrollment Coordinator - Worcester

Supervisor: Senior Director of SNAP Programs

Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 annually


The Role: The SNAP Enrollment Coordinator will work to increase participation in SNAP (previously known as the Food Stamp Program) by screening clients for eligibility and helping them with the application process using the state’s online application tool, DTA Connect.  SNAP Enrollment Coordinators provide in-person assistance at health centers and social service organizations in Worcester.


This position requires weekly offsite travel.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide SNAP eligibility screening, application assistance and follow-up to residents in communities in a variety of settings included but not limited to health centers, food pantries, and public housing.

• Liaise with the Department of Transitional Assistance to ensure clients are enrolled in SNAP.

• Promote SNAP and other federal nutrition programs to clients.

• Promote usage of Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline.

• Prepare monthly SNAP application assistance reports.

• Perform other related tasks as needed.



• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.

• Ability to be work on-site in assigned Health Centers.


Organizational Responsibilities and/or Secondary Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the annual Walk for Hunger, including working as event staff the weekend of the Walk, attending pre-Walk events as assigned, and supporting Walk for Hunger fundraising efforts.

2. Provide administrative support to other Project Bread departments as needed.

3. Participate in organization-wide events and meetings and perform other program duties as assigned.

•          High school diploma with 3+ years of experience

•          Database experience

•          Strong organizational, oral communication skills; attention to detail; and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•          Customer service, public service preferred

•          Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

•          Sense of humor

The Project Bread office is in East Boston. While there are various types of remote, hybrid and office-based positions, all staff are expected to occasionally be in the office. The commute to and from the office is the employee’s financial responsibility.
