To assist us in meeting our mission, Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger is seeking an Operations Associate to join our team. The People and Operations department works to create an environment where our staff can do their best work. This position is predominantly office-based at our office in East Boston.

Supervisor: Director of Operations

Salary: $48,000 to $52,000

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Project Bread office runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Monitoring office supplies and ordering new supplies as needed
    • Assist in equipment setup and tracking
    • Troubleshoot equipment and provide staff support.
  • Provide administrative support to the People and Operations leadership.  
    • Assist in mail receiving/processing and external mailings.
    • Data entry in employee systems
    • Special assignments as directed by the COO and Director of Operations.

  • Office/administrative experience or related experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to interact positively with all employees, constituents, vendors, etc.
  • Self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot office issues in collaboration with our IT support and property manager.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient and general comfort in a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office, and other platforms
  • Support cross-functional events and activities.
  • Dedication to ending hunger in Massachusetts
