The Healthcare Partnerships Chef Consultant will co-teach three virtual cooking classes each month. Classes topics include general wellness, kid’s cooking, and a diabetes. Classes are at-tended by program participants who are low-income and living with complex health conditions. Classes are taught in partnership with a Nutrition Services Coordinator who is responsible for the nutrition education component. Each class is taught with simultaneous translation in at least one language other than English, typically Spanish and/ or Portuguese.
This position will help create an engaging, inclusive, and equitable staff culture and manage the human resource function.
The Chef Educator will train public school nutrition staff on strategies for improving the quality and palatability of school meals. As part of Project Bread’s School Food Fellowship, the Chef Educator will focus specifically on the culinary, presentation, marketing and customer service skills needed to provide healthy, affordable, and appealing food for public school students. The Chef Educator will work collaboratively with other programs across the organization, including the Healthcare Partnerships and Community Partnerships Programs to provide culinary training to target audiences within those programs. Regional travel is required.
Project Bread is looking for an intern with data visualization and research skills who can help the organization gather, update and map all datasets currently used in Project Bread. This person will also be working with different departments to identify current data and gaps in data that may be useful for decision-making in Project Bread's program, communication, and policy.
