After a two year hiatus, All Saints Parish brought back their Messiah Sing for its 14th year. Set in a beautiful church built in 1926, church and community members came together to hear a performance featuring an orchestra, soloists, and a full choir. Scores were available with a $10+ donation to Project Bread and Music for Food to follow along with George Frideridich Handel’s classic work.
The evening was conducted by Anne Watson Born, and soloists included:
Kira Kaplan, Soprano
Emerald Barbour, Mezzo-soprano
Honor McClellan, Soprano
Nicholas Saxton, Tenor
Philippe L’Esperance, Tenor
Kevin Harris, Bass
Prior to kicking off the evening, Project Bread Senior Development Manager Kellie Vehlies Beretta shared a few words on behalf of the organization, and by the end of the night, patrons had raised over $2000 through donations from the community.
We are proud to be able to support community efforts to end food insecurity, and we will continue to advocate for long-term, scalable solutions to ending hunger at the state and federal levels.
