On Sunday, May 2nd, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will participate in Project Bread's 2010 Walk for Hunger. This is the sixth year that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will be the Flagship Sponsor of The Walk for Hunger, and we hope that you will join us!

Please consider joining a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Walk Team or starting a new Walk Team. If you prefer to participate in another way, choose one of the volunteer opportunities below or support your colleagues in their efforts to help us reach our goal, and to help our hungry neighbors. Every step, every dollar counts!

Suggested Volunteer Opportunities:

Snack Stop, Daly Field, Newton

This high-energy role includes cheering, handing out of snacks, and some trash cleanup. Available shifts: 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Checkpoint 5, Daly Field, Newton

This is the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts sponsored checkpoint. Volunteers will hand out water and stamp Walkers’ pledges. Available shifts: 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.-4:00p.m.

Finish Line, Boston Common

We need energetic volunteers to cheer on Walkers and congratulate them as they take that final step over the finish line on the Boston Common. Available shifts: 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
