We have plenty of resources available to make it easy and rewarding for you to be a Team Leader.

Express Group Registration: Teams of 10 or more are encouraged to sign-up for Express Group Registration. Register quickly on Walk Day by meeting your team at a special team-only area on Walk morning and tallying your team fundraising success together! Please contact Valerie Oorthuys at 617-239-2512 or valerie_oorthuys@projectbread.org to sign up.

Order Team T-shirts: Look and feel your best with official Walk for Hunger T-shirts. We can print you team’s name on the back of the 2012 Walk for Hunger shirt for only $14 per shirt ($18 for long-sleeved shirts). Send your logo as an Adobe Illustrator file to us and we’ll handle the rest. Please contact Casey Covarrubias at 617-239-2592 or casey_covarrubias@projectbread.org for more details.

Charter Buses: Reserve a bus to bring your team to The Walk for Hunger as a group and on Sunday, May 6th. We’ll have a bus pick you up and bring you directly to the Boston Common on Walk morning, and will then return you to your original location after you complete the Walk. If your team is able to raise $5,000 by Walk Day, you will be eligible for reimbursement of your Charter Bus. Request free Walk materials: Are you looking for Walk Guides, Volunteer Guides, posters, buttons, and other items to help you unite and motivate your team? Let us know what you need. We’ll send you free materials within ten business days.

Request a Guest Speaker: Project Bread staff can come and talk to your organization. We also have an inspirational and informative 8-minute video (DVD or VHS) that you may borrow to help motivate your team to build team membership and fundraise. Attend Pre-Walk Events: Attend pre-Walk events including the Walk for Hunger Kickoff Breakfast or a Team Building Workshop to hear other Team Leaders share their ideas and learn more about Walk Day.

Matching Gifts: Many companies will match their employees' gifts. With the help of employers, you can double or even triple the impact of your donation! Turn in your matching gift forms at The Walk for Hunger or mail them directly to Project Bread. Note: your sponsors may have a matching gift program too; please check. Together, these matching gift programs contribute several hundred thousand dollars to feed hungry people each year! Please contact Elana at 617-239-2522 or elana_thomas@projectbread.org with any questions.

Hunger Awarness Bracelet: New this year! Raise $250.00 or more online by Friday, April 20th and receive a Hunger Awareness Bracelet in the mail before the Walk. If you are a team leader, the bracelet can be used to encourage your team to raise more money online. Make it your team’s goal to have everyone wearing a bracelet on Walk Day to show they are part of a larger collective effort to end hunger in Massachusetts!
