Project Bread Plays Along with The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Ellen Parker interviewed by The Daily ShowDid you know that Project Bread's Executive Director Ellen Parker was interviewed by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart's correspondent Dan Bakkedahl? The segment, titled "Look Who's Walking," premiered last summer on Comedy Central and can still be viewed online.

While The Daily Show took a comic look at a serious subject, it also gave Ellen the opportunity to explain to a national audience why The Walk for Hunger is a critical event in Massachusetts — one that this year raised a record-breaking $3.3 million to feed hungry people in Massachusetts.

The segment on The Daily Show parodied this Wall Street Journal article that quotes opponents of cause-related walks like The Walk for Hunger. (Note: This article has been archived by WSJ.com.)
