Funding for Agencies in Massachusetts
Project Bread supports over 400 emergency food programs in 135 different communities across Massachusetts. These agencies reported providing 57.3 million meals in 2008.
Each year, Project Bread awards grants to these emergency food programs from funds raised through the annual Walk for Hunger.
Grant Applications 2010
Every year hundreds of applications from emergency food providers throughout the state are submitted to Project Bread. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the fight against hunger in Massachusetts.
The deadline for these applications is February 15, 2010. All funding decisions will be made by September 2010.

Monthly Service Reports
In order to better understand the ever-changing landscape of hunger in Massachusetts, we need to hear from our funded agencies on a regular basis. As of September 2008 we now ask that all Project Bread funded emergency food providers submit a monthly service report.
Most agencies should simply be able to submit a copy of the monthly report that you already provide to your local food bank. Because the monthly service reports for Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and the Worcester County Food Bank have a different format, we ask that agencies from those areas complete our template instead. Likewise, if you do not belong to a food bank, please fill out the following report form:
» Central and Western Mass Project Bread Monthly Report » Project Bread Monthly Report
By gathering these monthly statistics from emergency food programs across the state, we can evaluate the fluctuations in demand and monitor how the economic downturn is impacting people's ability to feed their families. Thank you for your help.
