East Boston High Schooler shows us he's got "Heart & Sole"
Spotlight On: Malachi Quinones

Through numerous volunteer opportunities at Project Bread and walking in the Walk for Hunger, sixteen year old Malachi Quinones, recognizes the importance of supporting our neighbors in need. "Knowing that people in my community go to bed hungry motivated me to raise money for the Walk."

With determination and passion, Malachi reached Heart & Sole status for the first time in 2014. The East Boston High School student said, “Without the help of my friends and family I would not have been able to reach my goal.”

The Walk for Hunger truly is a community event, and persistent outreach is the number one recommendation of all Heart & Sole participants.  “I wasn’t afraid to reach out to everyone and anyone I knew,” said the teen Heart & Soler. “I was also really excited that I was able to get some of my friends at school involved in the Walk.”
