Paint Nite Supports Local Boston Community Through Partnership with Project Bread’s 50th Walk for Hunger

New Englanders Invited to Walk, Participate in Virtual Fundraiser and Paint Nite Activations, May 6th on the Boston Common

SOMERVILLE, MA—April 23, 2018—Paint Nite®, the leading in-venue experience company, announced its partnership with Project Bread, a leading statewide anti-hunger organization in Massachusetts, beginning today, April 23, 2018. The partnership culminates at Project Bread’s 50th celebration of the Walk for Hunger and 5K Run on Sunday, May 6, 2018, an annual fundraiser on the Boston Common, calling for action against hunger in Massachusetts. Paint Nite is donating up to $10,000, matching donations from tickets booked using the special Walk for Hunger Virtual Fundraiser code “projectbread,” which is valid now through May 31st.

"Project Bread is one of the most prominent organizations working towards changing the lives of people in our community through their anti-hunger advocacy work,” said Stephanie Brocoum, chief marketing officer at Paint Nite. “We are honored to be their partner in increasing awareness and celebrating their 50th Walk for Hunger. Being involved in this large community movement is important to us and we look forward to supporting such an important cause right here in our home state.”

The partnership consists of many aspects from fundraising to live events. On April 12th, Paint Nite brought together artists, participants, and supporters to create rallying signs that will serve as encouragement as walkers make their way along the 20-mile route. On Sunday, May 6th, Paint Nite will have a giant collaborative canvas and invites walk participants and spectators to paint at the finish line on the Boston Common.

“Paint Nite has been a fantastic partner to us. We are thrilled that Paint Nite is such a committed partner, working in support of our mission to prevent and end hunger in Massachusetts,” said Erin McAleer, president of Project Bread. “One in ten people – approximately 726,000 - do not have enough food to eat in our state. Paint Nite has been instrumental in raising awareness and funds for Project Bread’s 50th Walk for Hunger. Their participation supports tangible progress toward a sustainable solution for hunger in the Commonwealth.”
