2016 Holiday Spoons Project

Calling all teachers! Our Holiday Spoons Project gives you a very fun way to engage your students about hunger in their state, and a way to fundraise for Project Bread. Sponsored by Jordan's Furniture, every dollar raised by your students while selling their festive spoons is matched up to $10,000! Jordan's Furniture will give the winning spoons, voted on online, group IMAX tickets to their theaters! We can do a lot of good this holday season for our neighbors.

When you see a spoon, you probably think of eating soup, cereal, or frozen yogurt. Of course, all of those foods are great, but it is also important to recognize that many people do not have enough to eat. We can do something to help, and teach our students that they can, too. By engaging students Project Bread's Holiday Spoons curriculum, we can teach children about hunger and how they have the power to make a difference in their communities.

Use this Register Form to register your class for the Spoons Project.

Use the Spoons Project Curriculum and engage students in learning about hunger in their state. After you submit your registration form, we will provide you with the curriculum as well as other project resources to be successful.

Check out fun Spoon Decorating Tips and help your students transfer ordinary wooden spoons into works of art.

By using our Fundraising Tips, help your students serve their community by selling their spoons and collecting donations that will go directly towards fighting hunger in Massachusetts. Keep track of your student's charitable contributions using our new Spoons Donor Form. And don't forget, Jordan's Furniture will match every dollar your students raise up to $10,000! Thats a lot of good we can do this holiday season to help our neighbors access healthy food.

Email or mail in photos of your students' spoons along with the Contest Entry Form and enter for a chance to win group tickets to Jordan's Furniture IMAX Theater. Share this new exciting project with a friend by printing the Spoons Project Flyer!

Submit your classes spoon pictures to Alexa Drolette by Friday, December 16th to take part in the contest. Voting will take place from Saturday, December 17th to Wednesday, January 4th, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, January 5th.

Thanks to a generous donation from our returning sponsor, Jordan's Furniture, all charitable contributions to Project Bread through the Spoons Project will be doubled up to $10,000!
