Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger, Inc. is the leading statewide anti-hunger organization committed to providing everyone in Massachusetts with reliable, sustainable access to nutritious food. In collaboration with key partners, Project Bread takes a two-pronged approach to ending hunger:
To assist us in this mission, Project Bread seeks to engage an intern to support our efforts to expand our health center referral program. The program connects patients who screen positively for food insecurity to both short- and long-term food resources through the compassionate, confidential services provided by Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline. The Community Health Center Intern will support project planning and implementation efforts in health centers in the Greater Boston area as Project Bread expands the reach of this innovative and impactful program model.

This internship is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student or young professional with interest in program implementation and project management at the intersection of healthcare and social service provision. Prior work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Additionally, the following characteristics will help an intern to be successful in the role we envision:
The position is unpaid though Project Bread is happy to support qualified candidates who wish to seek external funding or academic credit. The start and end dates of the project are flexible; however, the ideal candidate will be available for a minimum of 150 hours.
