Chief Financial Officer

Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger is a leading statewide organization committed to ending hunger for Massachusetts residents of all ages. In collaboration with key partners, we deploy a two-pronged approach to achieve this goal:

To assist us in meeting our mission, Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to work closely with the new President during a time of strategic growth across the organization, as it approaches its 50th celebratory Walk. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors, and attends quarterly Board meetings. For daily operational matters, the position works closely and reports to the President and is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Supervises: Accounting Manager

The Role:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a hands-on and participative manager, overseeing all aspects of finance, business planning and budgeting, administration, facilities and IT. In addition, he/she will oversee risk management, insurance, third party contracts, budgeting and forecasting. The CFO will be a strategic thought partner, and will play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger continues to enhance its quality programming and build capacity. This is a tremendous opportunity for a finance and operations leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization.
